Dr. Bugay Turhan is an expert speaker and facilitator on international learning, leadership competencies, stress and resiliency, healthy living, and behavioral change. He has traveled to more than 50 countries, particularly across Europe, for professional purposes over the last 15 years.


Bugay earned his PhD in Educational Sciences and has an MBA. Dr. Turhan is widely published in a variety of journals and wrote a book chapter on Career Counseling Strategies. His academic interests include, lifelong learning, social entrepreneurship, intercultural learning, social responsibility projects, project cycle management, non-formal learning, leadership competencies, and employability. Bugay is experienced in many national and international research and education projects as a coordinator and researcher. 


Since 2006, Dr. Turhan has worked as a trainer for the Ministry of European Union for both NGOs and public bodies. He has designed many customized trainings to meet the unique needs of the institution. In addition to conducting speaking and training for Revitalize Project in Europe, Bugay works in academics at Hacettepe University, Turkey. His past experiences include a role as an International Office manager at Hacettepe University and as an expert at Universities Quality Board of Turkey.


Bugay incorporates non-formal teaching methods into his sessions, ensuring that his trainings are dynamic, participatory, and highly engaging. He is also able to leverage his personal interest in yoga, Ayurveda, nutrition, and meditation into his workshops where appropriate.


Dr. Turhan values continuous self-improvement. He holds 200 hours in Yoga Alliance Teacher Training, 60 hours in Yoga Therapy, 1 year in Organic Intelligent Trauma: Somatic Experience: Therapist, 16 hours in Mindfulness, and 200 hours as an Ayurveda Consultant. He works as an Ayurvedic consultant and yoga/meditation teacher at Advayta Yoga Center in Ankara.
